US Coast Guard Auxiliary, short history and duties and missions
Speaker Bio
I am currently the Chief Staff for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Division 2 out of Station Sandy Hook, Sector New York.
I am a retired Police Detective from the Hazlet Police Department and also the former Emergency Management Coordination for Hazlet Twsp. as well as Monmouth County
I have been a guest lecturer at Monmouth University as well as Brookdale College on topics from the Bayshore Security plan to criminal forensic investigations.
I have been the former chair of the Bayshore Security Group, the Monmouth County Working Group as well as a former member of the Fort Monmouth Force Protection Council.
I am currently employed for the security department for the Hazlet School District.
I have numerous professional awards include Police Officer of the Year , a Valor award from the Monmouth County 200 club, a Achievement award from the American Law Enforcement Hall of Fame, a Navy letter of Commendation as well as two US Coast Guard Unit Commendations and six US Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendations with operational “O” .
My career focus in LawEnforcement was on forensics where I attended the FBI Academy and the NJ State Police Academy for that specialty. I also posses a Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Brookdale Community College.
