Speaker: Bill Donnelly – Rotary Items
Bill first talked about a few Rotary books written by Frank Devlin (PDG, Mexico) and Dave Forward, which are available free of charge. Some are How You Can Make A Difference, Frank Talk on Public Speaking, A Century of Service, Frank Talk, Frank Talk II, Rotary Foundation.
Bill then discussed club finances and illustrated some comparatives for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 fiscal years, designed to show transparency for club finances. Included were 4 levels: club level, Foundation, Golf Outing and Endowment fund. A more comprehensive illustration will be sent to us after the meeting today.
Regarding the Golf Outing in October, Bill asked that we sell 40 raffles each, as the raffle income is one of the largest and [directly] affects the bottom line of the event.
Insofar as the Endowment Fund is concerned, there is approximately $94K there now. It is separate from the Foundation and run by the Club. He said that we will explore how this is used.
Bill’s talk was truly comprehensive, concise and cohesive, and for that we thank Bill for taking the initiative to prepare all the data that was resented. Thanks, Bill, for doing a wonderful job. In case anybody wishes to review the slides Bill presented, Warren (and of course, Bill) will have them as a permanent part of the Club’s data.
50/50 $25 went to Lou [again]
Meeting ended at 1:30 PM
